- “Best of the best”
Shattered was originally a concept with no name that started from an small idea. On September 11, 2014, Chris6d mentioned the possibility of creating a video game, despite no programming experience. Janay liked the idea and soon concepts started rolling in. Soon Anthony Izbash was hired to program the game, since he had coding experience. There were many ups and downs in development financially, including Vincent Gattuso, who scammed the company out of money and was later fired. Eventually, Shattered was released and was a huge success, grossing over $100 million. It wasn't long before a sequel, Shattered 2 was confirmed.
Development for Shattered 2 began in August 2016, shortly after the last DLC for Shattered was released. Chris6d began writing the script in August 2016, and eventually finished in January 2017. The game is slated for a September 4, 2018 release date. The game's budget was reported to be $1 million, compared to the $10,000 budget of the first game. The game will also use a brand new engine created by Chris6dProductions, called the Chris6Engine, rather than Unity 3D, the engine in which the first game utilized.
